Connect to a Wireless Network in Windows Vista:

  1. Click the Start Button.
  2. Click Connect To.

  1. In the Connect to a Network window, select the network to which you want to connect, and click Connect.

NOTE: If you do not see the Connect to a Network window showing a list of available networks, and instead see a message stating that "Windows cannot configure this wireless connection," it usually means that a program supplied by your manufacturer, such as Dell's "Wireless Card Utility" program, is controlling your wireless card instead of Windows. Contact Faculty Desktop Support or your manufacturer if you need help using such a program, or see here for an example of how to use Dell's "Wireless Card Utility" program in Windows XP.
